Any particular part of the Christmas Feast that you're looking forward to most? Anything that you feel MUST be on the Christmas table?

For me, Thanksgiving is about the food and Christmas was about ceremony - not food. Christmas "food" is fudge with nuts. :) NEVER ham - how awful is it to have an abomination food on Christ's "birthday"!?

Advent, stockings, 12 days of Christmas with Epiphany. No specific food comes to mind.

I'll be interested in what others have to say. :)

Fudge with Nuts is the kind of answer I'm looking for! : )

Oddly enuf, I don't think I have any favorites-since-childhood. (Tho fudge or chocolate are ALWAYS good ; )

DH always makes us Avgolemeno (Greek Egg Lemon Soup) for major feast days. That is the once consistent, cultural thing we do. So, that's a given : )

In our house, we each have a different selection this year. DD (being a child) wants smokey hot dogs with Potatoes Au Gratin. DH, pot roast (lamb would have been good, but not at this year's prices!). Me - I'm looking forward to the sweet potato casserole and dinner rolls.

I'm also looking forward to eggs, yogurt & ice cream sometime over the days of Christmas.

For the Church covered dish, I'm hoping to make something inspired by this - but vanilla rather than pumpkin this time: https://www.thekitchenismyplayground.com/2015/10/easy-no-bake-chocolate-pumpkin-icebox.html

With sugar free pudding, light cool whip etc - I can make a lighter version that is quite tasty : )

I always liked the Pecan Divinity myself (never tried peppermint!) but kinda glad it's seldom available! I don't really need to "supplement" my sugar intake like that! ; )

fudge. DEFINITELY!

Peppermint? not so much for me. I was always disappointed when I got peppermint candy.

I always liked those "millionaire" or "7-layer" bars, too - but smart enuf to know that if I ever tried to MAKE it, I'd eat the whole pan. so, I never have!
