We're super-casual this year. We had planned to go out until last night - when we realized DD still wouldn't be up to it. So today I went to the grocery and bought the stuff of a rather basic meal. But, we're cool with that : )
Thank God we have a nice home, family, food, etc. I don't need (or even want) fancy, festive and extravagant.
If it were up to ME, i'd stay home and enjoy the day with whatever food was in the house. Seldom has anybody shown up for these "community dinners" at our church but each new wave of newbies thinks it's a great idea.
I'm not gonna be the one to rain on their hopes.
