 Post subject: Sewing question

I picked up a dress pattern without noticing it had a dropped waist seam. I don't want a dropped waist seam. :? Couldn't i just pin the skirt pattern part to the bodice pattern part and cut it out as a dress piece?

Yes! Pin the paper pattern and cut the fabric as one piece. You may have to hem it up a bit to take up the seam allowance from the waist seam you are eliminating.

Awesome! Thank you so much, Briva! I really hope to get sewing again - starting tonight! And i was bummed when i noticed the pattern i grabbed wasn't something i'd wear!
