At the place where dh does his PT they also offer massages. I tho't he should get one to see if it helped but he wouldn't get one unless *I* did, too!
So, we signed up for massages and today was the day.
I had one once before as a stress reliever - a friend "bo't" it for me after my son died. It was lovely.
I went into this one to see if it would help my hip and/or nerve pain. It was a more painful massage - not unbearable or bad but not the melting-like-butter experience of the first one.
For dh's massage they focused on his "bad" arm to continue healing from the stroke. Towards the end he mentioned he'd broken his neck and had a cage in it so she also did some on his neck. He has back and neck/shoulder pain that keeps him awake at night and i tho't this might help.
I'm waiting a couple of days to see how things pan out. This is all "out of pocket" but it's doable if we plan.
Unfortunately she also said *movement* is what would help both of my issues - range of motion and not keeping one set of muscles in the same position for too long of time.
