Has anybody heard an update on the boys trapped in the cave in Thailand? I know they all got out but have there been any interviews or updates? I'd like to hear from them. |

The last I heard some - or all - of them were planning to become Buddhist Monks in honor of the man who died rescuing them (he had been a Monk). https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/25/world/asia/thai-boys-ordained-monks.html Monk-hood in Thai Buddhism (unlike in Christianity) is often a short term commitment - but I think it involves seclusion or silence. (During my brief visit to Thailand years ago, I was told that it was custom for young men to either serve as Soldiers or as Monks after high school - and nearly all do one or the other) |

Thanks for the update. I wonder how it will impact their lives. |

I noticed that the article said that one of the boys was Christian - so attended the ceremony but was not ordained with the others. |
