It left us almost 3" of rain. I keep seeing news of floods in Alabama, to be expected but NC? How far did the rain bands veer off to? I had never heard of a subtropical storm before this one.

I live near the coast in NC. Tory is in coastal GA. She got the rain bands first, then we got several inches here but western NC mountains got so much more rain. Landslides, a few major roads closed because of them. One home exploded killing 2 people in Boone in the mountains. They said a landslide caused a gas leak and explosion I believe. It was very strange to be getting rain from it so far away. Today is the first sun we've seen in a while and it's like a sauna out there because everything is saturated and heat index is 97* today.
