I'm not much of a movie-goer, as you know. So of course I haven't actually SEEN it. But I saw a review of it the other day - went looking for it and found this one instead (since I also follow this site, it looked probable) https://www1.cbn.com/movies/i-can-only-imagine-movie-review It looks inspiring & pretty good, to me. I have to admit, that I have misgivings *whenever* anyone publicly tells a story of parental abuse - because of that pesky 5th Commandment thing. It doesn't seem appropriate to me to tell the whole world about one's parents failings - even if those failings were quite serious. Of course, there are exceptions - especially when the story is told with the blessing of said parent (and this may be such a case - I don't know) |

We enjoyed it! My brother is here so dh and i took advantage of it and went on a date. He's leaving tomorrow after church and mom will mostly be on me. Thankful for hospice and dh! As with most "Christian" movies it seems to lean more toward the person in the story than Christ, but the message was there. I felt it made the band look more hungry for fame than i hope they are? |
