Has anyone ever tried Lunchables "Pizza" variety?

Can anyone tell me what the crust is like? Flavor, texture, etc?

DD is fascinated by them - and I'd like to try a homemade imitation!

(I'm philosophically opposed to actually buying them ; )

Thanks : )

Have you done a search? There are several homemade lunchables sites. :) I am also fascinated by cute little diy packages! LOL

I've searched very little. The ones I see at a glance encouraging making a pizza crust with *their* recipe (or some prepackaged something).

But, DD says that the crust isn't a "crust" at all - more like a cracker. (I should add - she's never actually eaten one - this is just her firm opinion : )

So .. . . I'm looking for some first hand knowledge from actually tasting one of the plastic wrapped concoctions ; )

It's been too long since i've had one. Seems there's no flavor to the crust. I don't remember there being a crunch to the crust. I can't think of anything to compare it to. Not bread, but more like the dough, but cooked, of course. Big help, huh? Go buy one and use it as an experiment. LOL

:o

Give them MONEY?!

I could EASILY make small pizza crusts - but DD is convinced there's more to it than that! I told her to trade a cookie for a little pinch of a taste ;)

My kids eat them. I do not know how! But the love those things. The dough isnt crunchy like regular pizza dough, it reminds me of a soft flat bread but not as flat as a tortilla.. Something more like a pita? Or a Greek gyro bread.. Yes.. Thats more close to the texture I think!

THAT is tremendously helpful, Tory. Thanks a bunch!

Greek Pita/gyro Bread - I think we might be able to find some of that around here ;)

Easy peasy! :D

Puh. Tory beat me to it. I even BO'T one today in your honor. (Don't choke.) ;) Tory's right. I bo't the regular lunchable but i saw one by Armour with their meats. I don't know if their crust is any different - it looks "deeper".
