Post subject:  How did your pet get named?
I had cats named Turpitude and Platitude because i was doing the "vocabulary" in the Reader's Digest and those were fun words to say! LOL I had a cat named 220 because he looked like he'd stuck his tail in a socket. Our dog's name is Taupe because that's his color but also because he's known as a "blue" - so his "full" name is Blue Topaz Daniel with our last name, of course. :lol: (Daniel because he was being naughty and i needed a middle name to tack onto Taupe and that's what came out.)

My bird's name is Nugget because the kids kept saying he'd make a nice chicken nugget. I don't even remember his original name.

My lil dd named a litter of strays, Huey, Louey, Donny and Dot. We eventually caught Donny and Dot. We still have Donny. She also named her chihuahua, Mojo. I call him Jo Jo Mo. Or just Mogee.

My dog Scooter I named. I just played around with names until I found one that seemed to fit.
Coco I actuslly put her picture on Fb and asked for ideas. Coco was one of the names we were already considering, so when several Fb friends suggested it also, we went with that name.
I like it because it leaves her open to tons of fun names.. I call her coco butter, coco nut, coco loco, coco crispy... :lol:

Used to have a Cat named Stevens.

You know - "Morning has Broken," "Moonshadow" etc

It was the only Cat name I knew :geek:

These names remind me of the trail names long distance hikers use. Some of them have stories behind them. Gottago, Rolling Thunder, Elevator, Asabat, Pre-dawn, Lady Bug, Swiss Miss. There are thousands of them.
