https://lifehacker.com/…/why-you-should-ditch-paypal-and-us… Okay, peeps....twice a year, I attend a women's retreat. During these two times, we collect fees from everyone attending the weekend retreat. Instead of collecting cash or checks from everyone and holding onto them for several weeks before the retreat starts, I am looking into other options of collecting fees from about 80 women for about 5 weeks (before the weekend starts). I know some will not have a credit card or would prefer to pay by cash or check, but overall, to collect from the majority...what have you found that works best? I found this article during some research and some of the possibilities listed here are intriguing. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you. |

I know someone who went thru a financial nightmare with one of these "convenient" payment systems recently. And, Paypal uses its power to bully those folks who are too moral to suit them- so they're not my favorite. (I've not charged on paypal since this story broke: http://money.cnn.com/2016/04/05/technology/paypal-north-carolina-lgbt/index.html I still prefer collecting cash & checks by mail or in person when that's an option - (which is to say when you're not doing business online with strangers) |
