True. Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Netflix have pretty much taken over the "movie" industry. It's too much money to spend on going out to see a movie, even at "matinee" prices.
As far as "watching a movie" goes - i agree. But the "going out" part isn't met. I like to watch other people watching movies sometimes, or splurge on popcorn with dh, or go out to eat or shop before or after. And, it's just not the same on a smaller screen. Our tickets are $8 apiece so i don't feel too bad about it.
