Our area is expecting the same as Irma, 30-40mph winds, 2-3" of rain. Only we never got those winds and only 1 /2 in of rain. Pray for those Louisiana bayous! Are you in a safe place Anna?

Thanks for asking, Briva : )

We're far inland (in Vicksburg), and just on the edge of the projected path. We're expecting extra rain, but I think that's all. I understand that there's a possibility of power outages. The power company robo-called us yesterday to encourage us to prepare!

I did buy a little water yesterday (because if we don't use it now, it's just good to have on hand anyway) but I haven't noticed other folks doing much to prepare.

At this point, I'm not really worried about it - but am keeping an eye on it.

Too bad you can't have a "good storm" without damage. I love a good storm when the most you have to do afterwards is pick up a limb or two and rearrange the patio furniture.
