Columbus Day changed to Indigenous People's Day

In our area one town has decided to no longer observe Columbus Day. Instead it will be called Indigenous People's Day and it doesn't get you out of work! I wonder if their Post Office will be open???

I think it's still a *federal* holiday - and Post office is a federal function. So, I imagine it will still be closed.

As a person who is part "indigenous" and part Italian - I think it's an incredibly stupid name change. But, no one asked me :geek:

sigh I've never been big on Columbus' Day but sheesh! :roll:
