no I had shingles yrs ago.
I know what they are , this does not constantly itch and hurt constantly like shingles
and shingles ran around where my bra strap was. it does not necessarily go all over your body
I am drinking a ton of water to get this out of my system and taking probiotics.

I read it can take up to two weeks to get rid of, I see my surgeon on Wednesday.
as long as I do not itch and I don't I will wait to see what happens, There is nothing that can be done about a rash. unless it is contagious and this is not. I clean my body twice a day and put the cream all over .
I know one thing I will never go through this again.

taking antihistamine for the itching it causes. and hydrocortisone (sp) also.
I sure cannot go to church till this is gone, I look like I have leprosy.

I am catching up on my sleep with taking the antihistamine.


Benadryl is what finally helped me when i had a bad reaction to meds. I hope your rash has cleared up by now tho'!

It is fadding and lot lighter than seven days ago.
It is weird, It started on my chest and arms, then went to my stomach then the top of my legs and yesterday my calfs. I take a shower is very very mild oatmeal soap,and put the calamine clear lotion on all over. four times a day. I read it can take up to two weeks to completely go away,
I did not call the doctor because what is he going to do, I see him Wednesday., my finger hurts really bad and it is hard to stretch.

Well my rash is about gone. but my hand still hurts, dh is doing the grinding of the scare tissue three times a day and it seems is gets worse with each sesson.

I'm glad the rash is about gone. How does dh "grind" the scar tissue?
