Who here keeps butter out of the refrigerator? In the refrigerator? What about eggs? I recently saw a friend of mine, whose daughter is in Scotland for an internship, take a picture at the local grocery store. Their eggs were on the shelf and not in the frigeration section.
I keep a stick out and the rest in, especially in the summer. (I find cold butter useless except on dinner rolls.)
I try to put most of our eggs in the fridge during the warmer months. Mostly they're out on the counter, tho'. Technically, you shouldn't keep washed eggs out of the fridge but i don't pay attention to which eggs i have. I keep them all on the counter most of the time. Haven't opened a bad one yet. (And i've been doing it a few years now.) I learned this from a friend that lived in Hungary for a year and lived with us.
