It's been snowing or raining...

non-stop for DAYS! THANKFULLY it is sunny out right now. We are still sucking up water but there's "light" at the end of the tunnel now, at least for a short time. The wind is supposed to pick up which will help dry things up, too. We were up all night every 20-30 minutes to empty the TWO suckers we have going - alternately, not at the same time. We're trying to avoid burning out the pumps.

The river is running high and today should be the day we know if it's going to flood anybody's house but WE are not on the floodplain. I don't think it will but it may get close.

How's everybody else doing?

We can't decide between spring and winter. It's been lovely weather for a few days (rainy, but unseasonably warm) today it is sunny and cold. Tonight it's supposed to drop well below freezing - which is a bummer because the trees are in bloom!

The trees are in bloom!? Oh my! They'll probably be fine but i don't like when that happens. The lilacs start to bloom and then we get a freeze and have a very short lilac season.

We haven't had a winter the past 3 years.

Well, Lisa, this is the first "real" winter we've had in several years! LOL I could almost say *many* years! I couldn't believe everyone complaining about the SNOW! Hello?! We live in the NORTHwest and we've been lacking in snow pack. This year was 600-700% higher than last year which is great news after 2 scorching fire seasons. I'm not saying i love winter but i do like the seasons and this was a "good" winter imho.
