Tory, we had planned on getting Ikea kitchen cabinets but dh found this Canadian company that ships through home depot to be a lot cheaper. They have an online kitchen planner he used so I could see how the kitchen looked before we bought anything. I chose silver pine. Its textured like wood but is scrubable melamine and light gray with blue veins. Base cabinets are white.

Thank you! I was just looking at Sherwin Williams app. They are pretty good. The kitchen cabinets are white on their site so that helps. the other app I found all cabinets were brown.. :( I'm wanting to change FROM brown! Lol!

I'll go check out the one you gave.

Counter tops are white so that will have to stay. I'm trying to decide... Do I go with painting just the cabinets and keeping walls the same. Or do I paint walls and cabinets? This is why I'm needed a painting app. So I can see it before I decide.

Yup! Separated at birth i'm tellin' ya!

Briva... I got the app... There's a learning curve to it but I'm going to play around with it. It's pretty cool because I have an odd shaped kitchen and they had that room shape to choose from!

I'm thinking of going with different color for base cabinets and top cabinets to break up the row if same color throughout. (only because I have so many cabinets! Also with the white counter tops, having all whitecabinets wouldn't do. Too much white!!

I'm really liking the white cabinets with a darkish wallet walks. I still have the issue of white counter tops, though. Ds says we can redo them but it may be a bigger job than I want... However.. If we do this I'll be happy with it!

We shall see. I will have to study up on what it will be to do the counteracts. He's wanting to do a dark faux marble thing.
I wish I could put a picture on here to show you!

The house I bought in Austin had cream colored countertops. But they were painted. The original color...Bright 1970's groovy yellow. When we remodeled the master bath...There was gold shag carpet under the vanity, and metallic stripped wallpaper. The hall bath had flowered wallpaper in orange and bright yellow and lime green. Shudder.

The painted countertops held up okay. We only discovered they were painted when we went to remodel. So there is a way to have them redone.
