a person in our church a year ago go a call from our pastor and had him come into his office. Showed him what he had posted. Being a christian , he should not had posted it, it was offending some of the women in the church and making them uncomfortable, he thought he had a right to say their skirts are too short, your blouse is too low cut. Grant it I have noticed that a lot of the mothers in the 25-40 age group try to look like teenagers and really should not be doing that especially in church. So he kindly told the pastor he was leaving. I saw him yesterday and he was not mad about it, like the church he is in now. not as big, and he likes it.
People your pastor does check facebook.

Sad he thought he had to leave
Every year in the fall, when summer is over, our pastor puts a flyer in our bulletin. It reminds everyone to put away our shorts and tank tops. It has old Edwardian drawings of ladies and gents, reminding to be modest in our dress.The phrase, "please cover neck to knees, please". After that he says its between God and the person. He says talking to people doesn't work.

Perhaps he had a point but probably should have handled it differently. I'm surprised at what people post on fb instead of discussing it privately.

It's too bad that the Pastor didn't promote modesty himself. Modesty is a Christian virtue that should be encouraged, not reprimanded.
