This one is projected to rake the west side of Florida over the weekend. I'm praying it turns. Last year we couldn't get a drop of rain in our area for anything. This year we are still under water from Tropical Storm Debby. Would appreciate your prayers that this storm will turn to someone who NEEDS rain rather than hit those of us who have had our share. Thanks!

My husband is packing for the Republican National Convention--MAYBE!
I have to say that I don't think much of the Republicans for choosing the Florida coast in August, for a number of reasons.

Lovely. It's forecast to be over our area by 2am Tuesday. That will make for a difficult 2nd day of CC. Hoping we don't have to cancel anything.

I've been watching this. It's going to be very bad for N. FL if it goes that way.
It won't be great for us either, because we have had a lot of rain, but nothing like FL has had.

I was just telling my mom that I'm praying it goes more west and over areas that really need the rain... and not come here. :(
We're supposed to go spend the day with my late dh's parents on Wed. We haven't seen them in a while and FIL is not long for this world. MIL just turned 70 and her health is slipping.
I hope we are able to keep this date. We are not close, but my dc need to see their grandparents. If Isaac comes we'll have to put it off until later and I'm not sure FIL has much time.

I pray it goes west to people that need the rain, and I pray especially that another hurricane not come to NC again this year! Irene was more than enough to last us for a while. Although I did learn a few things and am better prepared now than I was then. I still get the willies thinking about a hurricane hit though. It was scary! Got one big tree I want to get cut just in case.

I have a tree here that is leaning in the wrong direction and the thought of high winds and even more rain isn't a good thought.
:(

I would be glad to take some of the rain. We are getting rain today and could get some for the next 3 days, but with the 2-3 inch cracks in my yard I don't know if it will be enough.
