Sofia/Sophia is HUGE!

I like the name. St. Sophia is a wonderful Saint, and Agia Sophia is one of the most important Historic Orthodox Churches. So I was thinking it over for DD prenatally. Then we had Sunday School awards at Church - and as they called the girls up, it was Sophia, Zoe, Sophia, Sofia, Zoe, Sophia, Zoe Zoe . . . .

And I checked the Social Security names list and discovered that Sophia was VERY trendy.

So, we decided on something else : )

Both Zoe and Sophia are of Greek origin, and they mean "alive" and "wisdom".
For males, Luca and David are very trendy in Europe.

Well, in OUR family, it seems, Mark, David, and Dante are very popular - plenty of those and we didn't know it at the time of naming. Well, maybe the David one. ;)

I believe 99% of those who pick those name have no idea about the statistics, otherwise some of them would change their mind.
