Merry Christmas, Linda! I love you, too!

We are going to my moms today and probably watch the football game there.

Tomorrow the kids and I are having a quiet day at home and I'll cook a small dinner. Looking forward to it. This is a less stressful holiday from years past.

We (might) have a Candlelight service tonight. The weather is threatening and most of our people travel on difficult roads so it could get canceled. Otherwise we're planning on a quiet weekend home alone. With Mom. ;)

We have a service this evening, on the way taking a meal to a shut in, then midnight candlelight service at another church. My girls are coming tomorrow. My sis sent them presents to my house, guaranteeing they would be here sometime for Christmas. I need to reciprocate the favor and send my 3 nieces gifts to my sister's house.

Merry Christmas!

A funny thing happened when we were grocery shopping the other day. Saphira went over to one of those machines, where you put in a dollar and move the arm to try to grab a prize. We always tell her she's wasting her money, but she seems to have a knack for doing it just right and getting the prize. Just recently, she got a teddy bear. Anyways, at this particular machine, the prizes are Minions with Santa hats. Xavier asks for one every week when we go shopping and is always sad when we say he can't have one. Well, dd came back from the machine with one of them in her hand, a big smile on her face, and said "Look what I got for Xavier!" She hadn't gotten him a Christmas present yet, so it worked out. She gave it to him and he has barely let it go since he got it, he even sleeps with it at night. I'm not sure his other presents will compete, lol.

Merry Christmas Eve, everyone! : )

Our Priest of 25 years is retiring tomorrow - so it will be a bittersweet Christmas for our Church.

I love Xavier's gift, Lisa - how sweet of your DD! : )
