Yeah, no. Hideously self-centered behaviour.

It kills me how National Propaganda Radio pretends that all cultures and all behaviours are equally virtuous.

I have no idea why they think it's odd for children to stay up till 10pm - they must not know any homeschoolers. That's an early night at our house!

Well, if they were implying all cultures are equal, I didn't catch that. After reading it, I'm even more glad I live in America!

What they don't mention about the early diaper training in China is this - older babies don't go to the potty - they have split pants so that they can squat and go - wherever - including in the streets and on the bus.

Many Chinese are impoverished - they have no disposable diapers, they cannot afford a washing machine -and both parents work. I don't blame them.

I'm not as aware of Vietnam - but wouldn't be surprised if it was exactly the same there.

But, I'd prefer a 2 1/2 year old in disposables any day : )
