I suspect more diagnoses of "HDD" and more drugs given out to calm down all those young ones... so they will all be able to sit still all day. grrrrr!!

Because of the success that Raquel has had, they let her hand pick her students. The district REQUIRES that certain kids be taught look-say. Raquel won't take them. She will only take kids who are not locked into that program. The tutors who teach look-say have little success. Raquel has taken kids who cannot read at all from non-English speaking homes and brought them up to a 4th grade reading level in one school year.
