Ds is driving and they will call me when they get to church.
It's not far and he's driven there many times but this his first time without me in the car.

I just tell DD that if something comes up and she is going elsewhere before coming home to call, so I donot think she has been kidnapped. Too much of that going on in N central texas, women disappearing two or three a week.

This is one way that I think cell phones are good. My dc have their phone and can call if they break down or are gone longer than they were supposed to be gone.
I have told them for now, while it's all so new for ds to drive, that they are to come straight home. I have told my dd to not pester him about stopping to get a soda or anything from the store or a hamburger. She's really bad about expecting people to get her treats when she's out with them. I told her last night that he's not stopping and for her NOT to ask to stop anyplace.
Church went over so they were later getting home as it was. It was very dark by the time they got here. That worries me but I know he has to learn.
