I woke ds up at 7:30 and we got to the DDS early. Man, they were already very busy!!
Ds was 3rd in line after he filled out the paperwork.
They require TWO proofs of address!! :o
We only brought the one, a bank statement. Thankfully, he remembered that he had his fishing license with him and they did take that. If not, I would have had to have rushed home to get something else as proof.
(This is the second time an "official" gov web site has provided the wrong info, so never trust what they put online.)

He only had a few minor errors on his test and they had him drive on the real road with traffic. The road he drove down is the same road he's driven many times (I told you they are only 5 minutes from our house.)
He did bump a cone in parrallel parking and one in backing into a parking space.
The only other error was when turning left onto a double lane road, he went into the far right lane on the turn and she said he was supposed to stay in the left lane and then change to the right lane. That was my fault because I always do that. We left DDS at almost 11 oclock, so I took him out for breakfast so he could have my ears to himself for a while, lol!
But he passed and I'm so happy. Tomorrow we go get the insurance and he'll drive by himself to church tomorrow night. :D

Good for him.
DD takes herself to church now that the College students have their Sunday School when we have our service and they have their service when we have our Sunday school, but the college kids usually stay over and talk and once a month they go out to eat together.
She just has to call us to tell us when she is not coming straight home.
He needs to remember the mistakes he made.
Backing into a parking space, we do not do that here.
DD was suppose to do backing straight back for 100 ft but she did not do that, there was several things she did not do that the driving school said she would.
Does he now have a provisional? he needs to keep track of what is on that provisional.

He did have to back up so far keeping the car straight and stopping quickly at 20 mph.
He didn't have to do a two or three point turn. She had him turn around at the end of a road which was basically a u turn.
I'm not sure what you mean by "provisional". Can you explain? (He may have that and I just don't know it, lol)

Congratulations to him! I still remember the excitement of driving somewhere by myself for the first time!

I always bring more proof than they require to any Gov office for anything. No one ever tells you anything accurate

The provisional license holder is not allowed to drive a vehicle between the hours of 12 a.m. and 6 a.m.
In the first six months after license issuance, the holder is not allowed to have any passengers in the vehicle unless they are members of the driver’s immediate family.
In the second six months (month 6-12) after license issuance, only one person under 21 who is not an immediate relative may ride in the car.
Twelve months after license issuance, the holder is not allowed to have more than three passengers under 21 years old who are not members of the driver’s immediate family in the vehicle.
The driver may not drive under the influence.

Also, if you are under 18 years of age, and you drop out of school and remain out of school for 10 consecutive days, have a total of 10 unexcused absences, or have certain conduct infractions, your Georgia drivers license or instructional permit will be suspended.

If the driver observes the limitations listed above & has no convictions for traffic offences, the restrictions will be lifted when the driver reaches the age of 18.
It is the same here in Texas, Breanne got hers removed this month.
