It could be McDonald's or a 5 star establishment - but what brings you back? What makes you say, "I love this about this place!"

Well, first the food has to be good!
Then it has to be right. I hate to send anything back because then I wonder what the chef did because I sent it back?? ugh.
It has to have variety because it's hard to please everyone in my crowd.
AND it has to be affordable.
(see? I'm not too hard to please, lol)

Good food, good prices, and good service!

Cleanliness helps, too!

Price. Serving size (I'm not one of those nouvelle-cuisine, microscopic food sort of people!). At least one balanced, vegan meal on the menu. Friendly service (or at least not offensive).

We basically have 3 regular places, one Chinese buffet and two very similar Mexican places. And, when traveling we sometimes hit taco bell or subway.

number one--the food, it has to be good,
followed closely by
number two--friendly service.

My favorite is the Mongolian grill because you pick your vegetables and meat yourself then they cook it right in front of you. It is really good and the service is always great. It's probably a good thing it is in the next town instead of any closer to us! It doesn't hurt that the cook is a real cutie ;)

We have one all time fav restaurant (Vietnamese), excellent food, good price, excellent service (a lot of times we are seated by the owner and our order is taken by his wife - definitely service with a smile).

Our second fav place (Tex-Mex) is also a family run business, good food, good price and excellent service.

There is one other place we like to go to we love the food(Tex-Mex) and service, its pricey though and we go there on special occasions.

Our all time favorite is a little Chinese place here. They area real Chinese family and not just a chain type place. The food is always good. The waitress remembers our drink order and doesn't even ask us anymore, lol! She sees us coming and gets our table ready and calls back to the chef to cook what she knows we like.
It's a little costly but not too bad considering how much fast food is nowadays. It's clean and convenient, only 5 miles away. Ds's can either one drive us there. We don't go too often but it's a family favorite and they've known us from back when dh was alive.
