Hi, My name is Denise. I live in Kentucky and have a dd 17, 4 and ds 14. Yes, I said the ages correctly, we purposely waited 10 years between the middle and last child. So when the oldest two finish we will be starting over with the little one. (What was we thinking, lol!) I have been married for 18 years to my high school sweetheart. We have always home schooled our children with the exception of trying public once and private school once. Neither seemed to fit our family. I'm thankful that God has blessed me with the opportunity to teach them and be a part of their everyday life.

Hi Denise! I almost wish I had another young one to start homeschooling with. Think of all that wonderful wisdom you have gained with the older ones that you can use to make the youngest one's experience even better!

Hello All,

I've been a SAHM forever! In the homestretch with schooling the children.

Looking into some courses for myself in order to stretch my wings for the next phase of life.

Hi Ann! I am in the homestretch, too. And also trying to "find myself!" I just hope I like what I find!

Welcome!

Hi LauraJean,

Thank you for the welcome!

One thing I'm going to try is tutoring, that is, as long as they get rid of the "Core Curriculum" implemented by the federal government. I have no desire to learn that mess! The other area I'm looking at is transcription work.

Hi Ann! Welcome! I'm also in the homestretch. Just one left and she is almost 17. :0) I've started teaching at a private, Christian school and actually got teacher certification after all these years. I'm SO glad that I homeschooled. Classrooms are not the best way to teach.

Hello, I'm seventeen and technically graduated high school but the way my family does homeschooling that doesn't mean anything because we mainly work in the family business to learn. Looking for a place to chat with other homeschoolers who maybe don't have the opportunity to hang out with peers as I don't. I wonder was there ever a message board for teens on this site?

There was a long time ago, but it fizzled.
