Weekend Recap....

The inlaws came and went, and we had fun. We went to the movies and saw the latest Batman movie, and then, we played Settlers of Cantaan. Great time.

Great you enjoyed it! We had a family friend over -- a young man in the Navy stationed about 4 hours away. It's always fun when he shows up!

DH and I worked on painting the 2nd upstairs bedroom. Maybe we will finish it this week. But we do have some repair work to do....the ceiling needs some work, plus we have a window pane that needs to be replaced. We are moving slow, but we will get it done. One and a half down, one and a half to go....for the upstairs anyway. I don't even wanna talk about the downstairs! :mrgreen:

I took the granddaughters in a parade. The oldest (5) was a rodeo queen. The twins (3.5), gave out candy supervised by a very nice teen young man.

My weekend was pretty nice and boring. I did a little cleaning on Saturday and we did pictures in the afternoon, which wore me out for the rest of the day.

Today, we did church and then I got a lot of cleaning done that I neglected to do on Saturday. The kids and I made a couple loafs of banana bread. The afternoon was cloudy and rainy, perfect napping weather. Dh and ds watched their "guy" shows (car races, how cannons are made, etc) while dd and I took a nice, long nap! The nap was the highlight of my weekend.

I was busy baking items for our church garage sale, Fri & Sat. Since the work crew was hungry Fri, I decided to make breakfast tacos for Sat and they were a hit. We have been hosting a study on Revelations at our house Sat evenings by an elder in our church and on Sun dh does a Creation Science presentation for a few non-church going co-workers.

We took advantage of the state of Arkansas' sales tax holiday to get some clearance clothes for the kids for next year (as well as school supplies)
