I am going to bake a snack cake and need the butter at room temperature, so I set it on a plate on a chair in the back yard, to get to room temperature. Should do that in less than an hour with 95 degrees so far.

We are sitting at 83 degrees right now. Not sure what it will reach, but glad it is not 95 already. We had some rain the past couple of days and it did help to cool things off a bit. We had been running in the 100's for a few weeks and I am even more certain I need to find a place to live that only has temps between 40 and 80. I hate winter and summer!!! I love spring and autumn!! Enjoy your cake.

Completely off topic Linda - I love the verse you chose for your signature line. It was one of my Mom's favorites - and her Grandmother's favorite. We are having it engraved on her Memorial Stone. |

The two sticks of butter were nice and soft an hour later. Made my cake. |
