My four year old great-nephew was here for dinner last night.

His Mom told me that like his Papa, he is not demonstrative at all.

But, one day he impulsively and uncharacteristically said, "I love you, Mama."

Quickly followed by, "Don't tell ANYONE about this!"

I love 3 and 4yos! That's great.

That's funny! I've never heard of a kid that young being shy about that, lol. When my ds was that age, he must have said "I love you" to me at least 50 times a day! And that's not an exaggeration, it got annoying. Now, he still says it a lot throughout the day, but not as much. My dd will go into the bathroom and she'll call "Mom!" I'll ask "What?", thinking the toilet paper is out or something and she'll call, "I love you!" They're weird, lol.
