Memory is horrible. Did not water the yard, but right now I am watering the bushes which I can do . We are about the only ones in our section of the block that has all the plants and trees still alive.
I throw the hose down between the bushes and water in sections for 20 min at a time.
Suppose to be over 100 degrees here the next few days.
DD went and got her long hair cut in a graduated bob and it looks good. I told her as long as she does not say I want black hair with green stripes she could get it cut how she wanted.

My dd has red hair right now. My ds used to dye his black, started with a role in a murder mystery dinner he was in, and he liked it, so it was that way before. We have had the temporary colors over the years and he chose blue for a birthday party and all his guests had a blast. His soccer team used red for a game. My younger girls have had different colored streaks. My oldest dd gets highlights. The nice thing with hair, is temporary or permanent color - it all grows out, just like mohawks, buzz cuts, and bobs. It is one of those things that adds some interest and fun to life.

I hated when my ds got different piercings when he was 18. He is now 21 and he does not have any of them any more. He has a couple of tatoos, which I was not in favor of at the time, but you know, he chose well, he likes them, they don't prevent him from getting jobs, so I chose to relax my opinion on them and now I don't even notice them. Some tattoo art is beautiful, some not so much, gee like art of all kinds.

Life is full of things that make us uncomfortable. When such things occur, it is good to take the time to figure out why we are uncomfortable. Sometimes there is a very legitimate reason. Other times they are ingrained beliefs that may or may not have a rational foundation. I know I've had to rethink many things over the years and in doing so, I have given myself (and others around me) a great gift in freedom to change my mind. Sometimes I don't change my view and that is often good too. It is nice that we can choose different things, especially if it is beneficial and respectful to each other.

I'm glad your dd found a new style that she likes. Can you post a picture? I bet it is adorable. Hey Linda, if you ever decide to take LJ up on her suggestions, I want a picture! I'm not that brave. I did go get a perm today. I'm glad I did it, just need a few days to decide how to best wear it now.

We've been getting storms every afternoon and I kind wish it'd stop now. I know the rain is good, but enough is enough. I'd gladly send it to other areas that really DO need the rain right now!
As for hair, my dd has had all kinds of colors also. Now she wants to get it cut very short into a pixy.. (or I call it "twiggy" style) I won't let her. Her hair grows so slowly and it's so very curly and naturally black. I know she'd hate it. She keeps saying she wants to straighten it after she gets it cut but even the beautician told her it would be very hard to do with it so short.
So, for now, she's left it shoulder length and got it hightlighted. It was her bd present to get it done. It makes her look much older.. more her age, whereas before she looked 12.

We have had lots of rain the past 2 weeks with a couple good storms. I guess it gave our baby Crape Myrtle the boost it needed. I was watering it like I was supposed to, but the leaves were turning brown and falling off and we were getting worried. Now it has beautiful green leaves and buds sprang up out of nowhere and are starting to blossom!

I have tried twice at two different places (one cheap, one expensive) to get a bob and they had no clue what they were doing and couldn't even do a simple bob, so I gave up. My hair is pretty long now and I'll probably keep it that way for awhile. I could never dye my hair. I have so many different colors in my hair that I'm afraid I would never get it back to the original. I have natural blonde highlights and when I do/say something dumb, I joke that I do have a blonde streak. Literally! I had a boyfriend once who died his hair blue and wanted me to get blue highlights. That was a big "No!" Lol.
