I took dd to the consignment shop today and they are now selling books and school curriculum!! I guess others in the community have been donating theirs instead of selling them at the home school book sale.
I HAD an abeka science for dd to use but they said it was a set of books, not just one. However, there was only one on the shelf (the text).
They wouldn't sell it to me just as the one book.
I plan to go back and spend more time looking through the books! I'm sure there are some real gems there!! :D

I did get ds a music book, I got myself a paperback of The Horse Whisperer. I've seen the movie but never read the book, dd found a move "Miss Congeniatlity" and there were several more that I forget what they are now. But it was a nice surprise to come across this whole section there.

SCORE!!!!

I LOVE when that happens! Sounds like you found a gold mine!!!
We've had a lot of people donating their homeschool books here as well, since our local used curriculum sale was a bust and they didn't want to mess with shipping.

I have a curriculum I wanted to use this year that a friend was loaning me, and the only thing missing was an activity book, and I think I found the right activity book today that a friend is giving away. I will look at it tomorrow.

I have some curriculum books that I need to get posted on ebay but have procrastinated in doing so. If anyone has something they are looking for (no early elementary) let me know and I'll look through my stuff and see what I have and we can decide on a fair price. I'm too lazy to post it all right now.
