How long does it take for them to approve an application?
Ds filled it out and turned it in. He missed last Tuesdays meeting because the Sgt. never called. The Sgt. told ds to wait for him to call.. and we still wait.
I'm not sure what's taking so long??
I double checked everything, we had it signed/notorized/witnessed in 3 places... attached a transcript showing gpa, etc..

The Sgt. said it would depend on the background check, but ds has no record for anything not even a parking ticket.
When should ds call him or go by to see him?? I am not sure what's the proper thing to do now.

It took a month for my ds's background check. They were quite thorough, including talking to our neighbors. How long has it been? I'd call if another meeting is coming up and ask if he can attend the meeting even if his background check hasn't come through.

OH.. well it's only been a week.
I am surprised it takes so long! But I guess it's good that they do check everything.
I'll have ds call him on Tuesday to ask if he can still come.
The Sgt did say to wait for it to go through, but one dad handed his dd's in the night of the first meeting and said, "See you next week!" so I wonder how strict they are about it..

I think you can still attend. You just can't wear the uniform or do the Explorer academy.
