bird, (a cockadiel to be specific) and we've never owned a bird it's pretty, and my oldest ds is trying to claim it.
I don't know if it's a boy or a girl though,

So anyway now I need to think up a name for it, I forgot to ask what its original name is though.

One of my neighbors who is getting ready to move to Scotland gave me the bird.
