Do you find yourself being polite? Not interrupting? Saying "goodbye" or "have a nice day" like it cares? LOL.

Quite the opposite. I'm afraid I tend to argue with the blasted things! "thank you for your patience" it says! "I AM NOT PATIENT" GRRR!

The saints say we shouldn't be angry even at inanimate objects - but, I'm not good at following that one : (

IT interupts ME, lol! I hate when I say something and it interupts me, then says "I'm sorry, I missed that. Can you please repeat?" And I want to yell, "If you weren't talking over me, you would have heard me!" No I am not polite with those annoying machines!

Although, when I actually talk to a real person, most of the time I can't understand a thing they're saying anyways!

I have had a robot customer service rep be most helpful and polite, more so than most people reps LOL. I think it was with our cable company. I can't even remember now what I had called about but robot rep was great and fixed my problem almost immediately, and even called back later to be sure the problem was solved. And she spoke ENGLISH!

I dont talk to robots. If I am calling somewhere and get a robot I dial for the operator. I have been known to ask for the Spanish version, where 99% of the time I get a live person, then I start talking to them in English AND THEY SPEAK ENGLISH, too, lol

I like that! I probably remember enough Spanish to get through and then can go to English as you describe. LOL.

Well, I just talked to an automated phone service at FedEx. And I answered a question "Yes, please." Not sure what the system did with the "please", but it did get me request done.
Sigh--I do not like talking to automated systems.

Mine said, "Correct?" and I'd answer, "Correct". It would say, "Right?" and I'd answer "Right." I think they get a kick out of programming US how to answer THEM! ;-)
