I have cut dh's hair for many years. I used to do my boys' hair as well, but as they got older they wanted it styled their own way. We used to do all buzz cuts. Dh looks good that way, but the boys not so much. Though at times it gets too long for my taste and I am tempted to cut theirs while they sleep.

I used to cut my ds's hair when they were little. I could never get anyone else to cut it the way I liked it. The "bowl cut" was in style back then and I hated that hair cut.. so I ended up just doing it myself with scissors.
They started going with dh to get haircuts around age 12 I think.
They found a lady just down the road from us that cuts hair (she's the mom of a friend from church). She does a great job for only $12.
I cut my own hair, much to my mom's dismay, lol!
I do go about once a year for a nice trim to fix my mistakes but overall I don't care too much what my hair looks like, except I do color it as needed.
NOW if only I could figure out how to groom my dog, I'd be a happy camper. I pay more for doggy hair cuts than I do for anyone else in the family. I'll never own another long haired dog!

LOL, Laurajean! I love your comment about dying on that hill!

When dh and I were starving college students, I started cutting his hair, and I've cut the entire family's hair ever since. With the boys being in Sea Cadets, it's been really fun to learn how to do "high and tight" haircuts. My older daughter now cuts my hair. :0)
