Ahhhhhh. It's nice to have family together but it's SO GOOD to reclaim your house afterwards!

We all stayed up til midnight last night watching movies after a day of food, Monopoly, snuggles and chitchat. No drama. Step-dd and #2 son (and wife) meeting again after 32 years!!!

This morning we got up and said goodbye and dh, kids and dogs all went back to bed! I have the quiet house to myself. I plan on making turkey veggie soup after breakfast, clean up the kitchen (we left it from last night), play Disney Monopoly with the kids and maybe go shopping for their mom's stocking stuff or other Christmas present. We *should* do some crafts.... want to make Christmas poppers, sachets, bath bombs, stuff like that but that may not happen today. We could pick up some things for the poppers, tho'.

Then church tomorrow and dd should be back to claim her kids and dog monday at the latest! The kids will be off to school anyway. I'd rather send the dog.

The bird is glad to finally get out of his cage, too! He got stuck in there wednesday during food prep and hasn't been out til this morning. Poor baby. He's not used to being cooped up like that.

Probably a good thing you kept the bird in its cage during "food prep" ; )
