My mom's dog used to sleep on her shoes so she couldn't put them on without his knowledge! If we tried to pick up her shoes, he'd growl and snap at us!
He REALLY didn't want her leaving him.

Our dog gives us the "sad eye" look when we leave him, but is happy to see us when we get home too:) Even though it is sometimes necessary, I do hate to leave him!

Ten hours IS a long time and I felt so bad leaving him. We just had no choice. :( Well, .... *I* could have stayed home with him instead of going with dh. He still gets a little stressed that his "master" isn't home but not like this! Dh really hates driving anywhere by himself, tho'. He's one of those "kids" that always needs someone around to "watch" them. LOL

Ahhhh. I wonder how he'd do with it. :) I remember a Doris Day movie (Glass Bottom Boat, maybe?) in which she would call home because her dog would run and bark and "get his exercise" when the phone rang. LOL
