Its the Virgin and Child Enthroned from the aspe mosaic in the Hagia Sofia. I have an image of the Christ Pantocrator from the deisis mosaic. I saw her today in a pbs documentary about Istanbul.

What do you mean "sourcing" - do you want to buy a copy?

I've looked over some of my favorite Icon sites, and cannot find a replica for sale.

But, personally, if I wanted an Icon & had a nice picture like that, I'd just buy a wooden plaque from someplace like Hobby Lobby, and mod podge or shellac the picture to it. You can make your own Icons that way with very little trouble or expense (I have a couple that my Goddaughter made for me of that sort : )

I DID find this amazing site while I was looking, tho : )

https://www.pallasweb.com/deesis/hagia-sophia-more-mosaics.html

it includes what I think is a view of the same Icon from the ground:

(There are Turkish sites associated with the "museum" that might have prints for sale - but the idea of non-Christian "museum" operators profiting off a desecrated Christian Church is not something I want to deal with)

I found it! They have laminated copies that are inexpensive. I have bought from them before.

Wow! Great job! I looked there & didn't find it.

I see you found it under "custom icons" - I didn't expect that.

Good job : ) So glad you found it.

Another good site for unusual ones is "Come and See" Icons

You'll have to share with us when you get it. Do you have an "Icon Corner" or do you display them on a wall?

When you open my front door you are greeted by the icons. I had mine blessed by a Russian Orthodox hieromonk. I have the Theotokos of Vladimir but loved the mosaic of the one above, plus it's very old.

Sounds lovely : )

I also have the Theotokos of Vladimir (and a few others) facing my front door!
