I replaced my Christmas wreath on my door with a cross and added my palm frond to it. Pastor announced services everyday this week. Must be something new in the Lutheran church (or old, lol). We had a procession outside with the palm fronds.

Thank you! And a Happy Palm Sunday to you!

I'll save your greetings till next week, when it's Palm Sunday for us : )

Yes - services that last all of Holy Week are ancient! If we go to every service in our Church you're talking about 30-35 hours of services - and it CAN be longer ; )

For us, this week is 1)Annunciation, 2)Fifth Sunday of Lent - St. Mary of Egypt - and, for our local Parish, 3) The Bishop's visit. Busy week!

I'm embarrassed at how "inconvenient" this all sounds. :(

OTOH, i would love to someday be able to take part in it all.

Yeah. "inconvenient"

Start easy with one or two services, and work your way up. Very few people go to ALL of the services!

OTOH, some folks look at the price of a dress and it's *only* $89. But $10 is a LOT to drop in the plate. Our time can be the same way. A 2 hour movie is great. A 2 hour Church service? . . . .

I could handle a 2 hour church service. :) It's the getting dressed i have a problem with. Then there's the driving there and back, the socializing, having to go out to eat because of the time involved in town (any excuse suffices). Ya know. And then do it all over again the next time?

Oh, no worries about having to eat in town. All the restaurants are closed by the time we get out ; )
