You will not believe how timely this is. Just yesterday my dh was commenting on the lack of miracles today. I told him we just have to look. Now you've gone and shared something concrete.
Christians are more apt to believe in miracles freely, as they happen, they strengthen our faith. Dh's ministry is to restore the truth, that the Bible is God's inerrant and infallible word, starting with Genesis. He goes out to speak with 'Christians' who have set aside the Bible for science and new revelation. He was talking about the doubting Thomas's and how they need to see proof, miracles.
While i would love to *see* more extravagant miracles - the blind and lame healed simply by the touch of a hand or prayer, i am always pointed back to the (not-so-simple) miracle that God, the Creator, loved us so much that He willingly laid down His life that *i* might spend eternity with Him. That should always be "enough".
Ok, now i'll go watch the video.
Had to come back and say the death and resurrection of Christ was the ULTIMATE EXTRAVAGANT miracle and act of love!
