Tried one last week where the pastor didnt even give a sermon, instead he opted out and gave the lecturn over to the finance officer. I am used to that handled at a quarterly church meeting. So Sunday I tried another. A lady greeted me, even sat with me AND invited me to coffee afterwards. There was a baptism. They sung like 6-7 hymns. The pastor gave a long sermon on 1 Thessalonians. There were mixed races, old and young, I sat at a table were people actually talked. Our common bond was obvious, we loved the Lord with all our hearts, mind and soul and they made me feel like a loved neighbor. Its a small church, about 250. There is a ladies Bible study and a men's breakfast/Bible study weekly, both pastor led. Another ladies study monthly who meet afterwards for a mission focused ministry. |

Sounds great!!! A "small" church the quarter of the size of our TOWN!!! LOL |
