He had a hole cut in his head by a dermatologist-type person to remove some melanoma on monday. We got the bleeding stopped late monday nite but he wanted to change the dressing cuz it felt "dirty". He called and they told him what to do but it made it start bleeding pretty good. :? We've tied a towel around it to exert pressure but so far it just seems to keep dripping all around - looks rather gory.

I am not familiar with this type of hole but i don't think it should continue to bleed this much. He'll be talking to the doctor in the morning to see if more needs to be cut out!

Will pray. We have a friend who has had that done for basal cell carcinma - and the wound afterward is something to deal with! Head wounds DO bleed a lot. (our friend was forbidden to change his dressing for the first few days. period.) But, of course, melanoma is a whole different matter. Hope the doc is able to help get things under control.

He was told not to change it but it felt so "dirty" to him. Well, NOW it is 3x as bad!

Thanks for prayers! He talked to the doc this morning and "they got it all"! That was such happy news. Then he talked about the bandage problem and they sent him to the CLOSE clinic to have it cauterized and re-dressed - YAY! Instead of a 3 hr round trip we only had an hour round trip and i did my shopping while i was in town. Happy happy happy! :)
