It may be a new version (I don't remember it being broken up into chapters like that?) but it's not new at all : )
I think it is brilliant. It is essentially an abridged Bible - like a Bible Story Book for bigger people - so you get the flow and the story, without being distracted by long lists of genealogies and laws, etc. I've never read it from cover to cover, but I HAVE given it as a gift, more than once.
I'm sure that people can find things to fault as far as what it leaves out, but I think it is a good concept, well-executed. (And, as we all know, *I* can find the negative side of anything
, so if *I* like it . . . .
)
If you are a person who has trouble "getting into" reading the Bible at this stage of your life - for whatever reason - I think it's a wonderful step in the right direction
