She's a youth leader - I suspect this is especially likely to happen with youth following ministry leaders. If your teens see you having a glass of wine, they may well use it as an excuse to drink a quart of whiskey. But, I think it's a cop-out.
Personally, I'm not at all inclined to do something just because President Obama does it.
People are accountable for their own decisions in the final analysis - even if they WANT to blame someone else.
But, if you're in a leadership position, you're more accountable before God than if you're a "regular person." You can see this in the schedule of OT sacrifices - Priests had to offer much larger sin sacrifices than did common people.
