I just asked my Pastor if he ever heard/read this book. Here was his thoughts.

I read the book several years ago. I am familiar with Mark Dever. He is a very strong Bible expositor from the Reformed Baptist position. I like of lot of what he says and find that it offers a strong counterbalance to much of the weak teaching, discipleship, and evangelism that often typifies some of the liberal and hyper-grace and hyper-faith (prosperity Gospel) teachers

However, Dever has a little bit of “I’ve got it all figured out and the rest of you need to get in line with what I say” tone. I really don’t think everything is quite as “black and white”

Overall, I think the book points out some very good things for pastors and church leaders to consider.
