God rested on .... sunday?

I'm listening to a kid's story, similar to Adventures in Odyssey, and a girl said even God rested on sunday. I'll wait and see if it is addressed later on but it certainly gives me pause in letting the kids listen to it!

Are there still people that think sunday is the Sabbath?

I wouldn't let it bother me over-much if the rest of the material is good. Just explain to your kids the Biblical history on the matter.

I'm used to the Lord's Day being referred to as the "Christian Sabbath" and I don't have any problem thinking of it that way. But if they're saying that was the Old Testament Sabbath - that's strange.

I'm a born literalist so it's hard for me. Even the New Testament calls sunday the FIRST day of the week. The Sabbath is the 7th. HOWEVER, other "high holy days" are also called Sabbaths so I guess I could wrap my brain around it that way. It rankles in me, tho'. :mrgreen:
